The famous 'Turtle Boy' recovering fast now!

The turtle boy, Didier Montalvo, suffered from a huge black mole which resembled a lot like a shell had a successful operation after which he can live a normal life like other kids of his age.
The birthmark had grown so large that there was chances of it becoming
malignant so the operation was somewhat urgent although the poor family could not afford to have the operation.
The colombian boy aged six belongs to a rural village and was suffering from a rare condition Congenital Melanocytic Nevus. Some of the local people ostracised Didier and his family because they feared dark forces were at work.
The credit goes to the British surgeon,Mr Bulstrode who performed the operation in Colombia. He flew especially from all the way to Britain to the Colombian capital Bagota to help a team of surgeons remove Didier's birthmark. The plastic surgeon was really kind of him to perform the operation free of cost.
Explaining the severity and rare individuality of the case,Mr Bulstrode told:
'Didier’s was the worst case I had ever seen. Effectively three quarters of the circumference of his body was affected.
'Obviously he has had to go through a number of painful operations, but we feel it was worth it. It’s great to see the photos of how Didier is getting on now. I’m really happy with how things have healed.'
The cause of the rare condition is unknown but according to the experts there is a change in the development of skin cells in the embryo triggered by a gene mutation.
